Trust in the LORD and do good; then you will live securely on earth and prosper. Psalms 37: 3
I was listening to a sermon from Psalm 37 and as much truth was in the preacher’s word, we complained so much that we forget that God in his love has given us what we have had. We forget to see how great his love is in everything we possess and in what surrounds us. As human beings we do not value many things such as health, family, well-being, home, car, children, studies, and so many other things. It does not matter if it is a luxury car or not, if it is a luxury house or simple, the important thing is that you have a means of transport whatever, and a roof to go to rest, whatever. Look around you and other nations; there are people in the world who are short of a roof, food, health and so many other things that are happy because they have something even if it is little. And, how much are you complaining about?
It is time to complain and begin to thank God because his love and mercy have protected us, has sustained us, and whether or not we trust fully in God who has cared for us at all times. Do not desire or be envious of others, just trust the Lord Jesus and do well. Rejoice and sing because those who trust in the Lord Jesus will be blessed. Psalm 37: 1-9 says
Do not fret because of those who are evil
or be envious of those who do wrong;
for like the grass they will soon wither,
like green plants they will soon die away.
Trust in the Lord and do good;
dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.
Take delight in the Lord,
and he will give you the desires of your heart.
Commit your way to the Lord;
trust in him and he will do this:
He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn,
your vindication like the noonday sun.
Be still before the Lord
and wait patiently for him;
do not fret when people succeed in their ways,
when they carry out their wicked schemes.
Refrain from anger and turn from wrath;
do not fret—it leads only to evil.
For those who are evil will be destroyed,
but those who hope in the Lord will inherit the land.
Prayer: Open your heart
Lord Jesus, I am in front of your presence asking you for forgiveness for complaining so much and for forgetting the blessings that you have given me. Today, I place my trust in you. Help me and free me from all carnality or temptation. I ask this in your name, Jesus, Amen.
Friendly advice
My dear friends let us thank God for what we have and also for what we do not have. Well, God gives what is right for each of us. Just ask what is essential to your life because if he takes care of the birds of the field as he has no support from you and yours. When you look around you many times you have more than others because you have health, work, family, friends and many other things. Do not envy what others have. Just give thanks for what you have and for the blessings that God has for you and yours.
