As he was approaching the border of Egypt, Abram said to his wife, Sarai, “Look, you are a very beautiful woman. Genesis 12:11
Beloved wife, how are you? Where have you hidden? What nest did you leave? You have given yourself for love and you have stopped being who you are to be the wife. You let the woman die to be the wife. Possibly, you left your dreams to travel the dreams of your beloved, of your children, and have left everything for love.
In the night, secretly, you cry, meditate, and think how would have been of your life if with the pass of time you had chosen another direction. You would like to go through the valley that you once left and fly to the endless sky until your wings reach the peak of the highest mountain. In that place, in loneliness, you live and in that loneliness, you make your nest. In that loneliness, you trace your path, the course of your home, although many times it calms your love, which many times is hurt. Dry your tears so that no one sees the soul of the wife. But, my dear wife, I want to tell you that God sees the soul of the wife.
My beloved wife, your soul is discovered when you reach the top of the highest mountain, you think that no one hears your soul crying. But, I want to tell you that by flying to that secret place, you have been closer to God. God wipes your tears, comforts your soul, and reminds you that you are that virtuous woman. Even in that mountain, hidden in the nest, and left the soul for your loved ones you still have the grace and beauty of that woman who you left to be the wife. Do not hide the woman, because before being the wife you were the woman and you are still the woman. Love, shine, dry your tears of the soul, laugh, and come out of that nest. Moreover, continue your flight, never stop dreaming and reach all your desires. But, above all, believe in yourself, in the woman who is still a woman although the role is different, wife, the woman.
Prayer: Open your heart
Lord Jesus, forgive me if I have offended you. Today, I am in front of you to thank you because you console my soul. Thank you because you understand my soul, my desires and dreams. I know that you, oh God, are in my care and protection. Thank you for the wisdom you give me, but above all for your love. Thank you for reminding me that I am still the woman despite the role that the world identifies us. Amen.
