When they heard the report, all the believers lifted their voices together in prayer to God: “O Sovereign Lord, Creator of heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them— Acts 4:24
I do not know how many of you have had the opportunity to be in front of the sea, but those of us who have been in front of the sea we feel how our mind and body are disconnected from everything that surrounds us. The sea, water, where we submerge and feel as we caress and refresh our skin. It is a given time that we wrap ourselves in its depths and leave our burdens in the sea.
The sea, created by God. The sea where we still do not know what really exists in those depths. Depths that seem infinite, which makes me reflect the love of God in our lives when he says in his word (Bible) that he buried our sins to such an extent that he throws them into the deep sea. How deep is the sea? , that even God forgets our sins when he throws them into the depths of the sea.
Therefore, when we submerge in the sea we leave there are our burdens and our worries. We have sat down by the sea, and we look at the horizon and speak to the sea as if it were something so supernatural, to such an extent that I think it listens to us and our requests or wishes are answered. Although to the truth, we know that the sea is part of God’s creation, when we disconnect and face the sea, it is like being in the presence of God. The meaning of the sea is like a way to immerse ourselves in the love of God and remember us that all our sins are in the depths of the sea. That the love of God is in us like the sea that caresses our skin.
Prayer: Open your heart
Lord Jesus, today I am standing in front of your presence asking for your forgiveness for my sins. Today, I leave all my worries, all my pain, and all that bothers me in you, Jesus. Well, today I admit that I should not remember my past anymore, because you already threw them into the depth of the sea and completely forgotten. That’s why, I thank you, Jesus, for your love and forgiveness. Amen.
