Even in laughter, the heart can have pain, and the end of joy can be sadness. Proverbs 14:13.
The clown, a character full of color, with an always cheerful face, and gives you words that make you laugh. The clown, who makes you laugh in the middle of your sorrows. The clown that many people hire for their birthday activities or even go to a circus to see their performance and their occurrences. But, what is behind so much color, behind such colorful clothes, behind a make-up face and a smile painted on his face. Who really is the clown?
The clown, a person who after the performances or events, removes his/her costume to return to a reality that only the clown knows. A clown is actually a person like you and me. A person who carries many burdens with him/her, a person who may laugh outside but inside cry his/her heart. A person whose life may be gray instead of having color. It is no longer the clown, it is something temporary. For the world of events or activities, he/she is a clown, but his/her life is of a normal person, like you and me. We all wear a clown costume so that the world does not see behind all that makeup as our heart is hurt, as our lives are full of so many situations that we only laugh for not crying.
Perhaps the clown knows that it is not healthy for others to see his/her reality, but he knows that after removing his/her wig, after removing the clothes, after removing the makeup and seeing himself/herself in the mirror he/she is only a person full of virtues and defects. But, you know my dear clowns, that when you look in the mirror as you are, you reflect your soul through the mirror, the mirror who is Jesus. Perhaps we can deceive others from our reality, but there is a person we can never deceive and that is Jesus.
To continue being the clown and transmit to others the joy and peace allow Jesus to be the one who dresses you in colors, put on your wig, make up your face and put a permanent smile on your face especially in your heart. Therefore, you can still be that clown that conveys love, laughter, and hope to others through your words and actions. But above all, knowing that you are not the same clown because your life is full of colors from the inside to the outside. You will be the clown that you will bless from now on to others.
Prayer: Open your heart
Lord Jesus, I am before your presence asking for your forgiveness. Today, I ask you to be in my life to be able to bring others the joy and peace you give us. Thank you for your love and your care. Amen.
