In a plane

Do not fear, because I am with you; do not lose heart, because I am your God who strives you; I will always help you, I will always support you with the right hand of my justice. Isaiah 41:10

These are times where many people travel. They travel for business purposes, vacations, and to be able to reunite with their loved ones. Today, where the pandemic has been a reason for many to take shelter in their homes, which they do very well, for many the pandemic has not prevented them from taking a plane to reach their destination. On a plane there are people from different places who travel for different purposes but whatever their final destination, I wonder what is going through their minds? Continue reading “In a plane”

I AM

And God said to Moses: I AM WHO I AM. And he added: Thus you will say to the children of Israel: “I AM has sent me to you.” Exodus 3:14

While meditating on the word of God, God told me not to box me. In these times when we live in quarantines, God broke the normal pattern of a society. It broke with the religious, political and health standards. We will no longer be the same when the door to the outside world is fully opened. Continue reading “I AM”

Full Trust

“But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.” Jeremiah 17: 7-8

I was reading a book on inspirational themes and I was captivated by a theme that goes with what we are experiencing in these difficult moments of our lives and in the world in general. Continue reading “Full Trust”

Trembling

Serve the LORD with fear; and rejoice with trembling. Psalm 2:11.

For several days our land of Puerto Rico trembles. But, not only Puerto Rico trembles, there are several places that have been impacted by earthquakes, volcanoes, climatic changes, rumors of war among other events that have impacted the normality of people’s daily lives. Some people staring at the glass of water, many do not sleep, many stop doing their normal life because fear has reached their lives. The question is, who have we trusted? Self-confidence and false security

“ But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren.”. Luke 22:32

Many times we have believed that we can solve everything, that we can do it, that we can do it with our own strength, to the point that we think we are so sure of what we say. But, the time comes that we do like Peter (disciple of Jesus). Who thought he was not going to deny Jesus even in difficult times. Continue reading “Self-confidence and false security”

Absolute trust

I trust God and praise his word; I trust God and I don’t feel fear. What can a mere mortal do to me? Psalm 56: 4.

Absolute trust, mmm … when I analyze the word absolute, my mind takes me to mathematics. Yes, mathematics which many times we say that there are established theories that already exist and at the same time much of us we do not understand the meaning or do not understand the logical explanation. Continue reading “Absolute trust”

The warrior and the trust

The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love, he will no longer rebuke you but will rejoice over you with singing. Zephaniah 3:17

Every warrior goes through a battle. Within those battles, there are victories as well as defeats. During those battles, there are difficult moments, long and stormy days, and also nights of insomnia and doubt. But, when the warrior gets a victory, the warrior celebrates with his/her war companions the joy of that great victory. Many may say, “the war is not over”, but a battle won is a reason to recognize that he/she is alive, that he/she has the necessary strength to defeat the enemy so his/her confidence lets him/her know that tomorrow is another day.
