So many voices

And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, how long halt ye between two opinions? if the Lord be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word. 1 Kings 18:21

We are surrounded by so many voices, voices that tell us so many things which can be positive as well as negative. We get confused in thinking not finding what decision to make or what to do. Many of us have lived in these situations where we cannot even reconcile the dream of thinking so much and hearing what others say or say about what concerns us. Continue reading “So many voices”

In the cave (Part II)

And when Elijah heard it, he covered his face with his robe, and went out, and stood at the door of the cave. And behold, a voice came to him, saying, what are you doing here, Elijah? “1 Kings 19:13.

In the cave

“While Jezebel was killing off the LORD’s prophets, Obadiah had taken a hundred prophets and hidden them in two caves, fifty in each, and had supplied them with food and water” 1 Kings 18: 4.

In 1 Kings 18-19 we read the story of Elijah and the prophets of Baal. Elijah was a high-caliber prophet as they say around here. A prophet who fulfilled the command of God and he was so nice to the presence of God that one day he was taken directly by God. Continue reading “In the cave”
