A new beginning

“What would life be like if we did not have the courage to try something new?” Vincent Van Gogh

I want to share with from the book A change of mentality is the key to success by Dr. Vicente Quintana. I start writing about a new beginning as I did with my life and my beloved husband. Those who have had the opportunity to read the book, life brought us good and bad surprises. While everything was good we were happy until we had to live the bad times. You give life to the faith (Final part)

Then behold, they brought to Him a paralytic lying on a bed. When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, “Son, be of good cheer; your sins are forgiven you. Matthew 9: 2.

There are as many stories in the Bible about the faith of many people that brought healing, liberation, and even resuscitation. But, this is not only from the past but nowadays, we have lived miracles in our lives and we continue to hear testimonies or experiences of how the faith of many have obtained healing, liberation, and even a second chance at life. All this to remind us that Continue reading “You give life to the faith (Final part)”

You give life to the faith (Part III)

Now faith is the [substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11: 1.

It is not easy when we are waiting for something or someone. Always in the middle of waiting we despair, we want to see immediate results and our faith can weaken in that wait. What are you waiting for? Who are you waiting for? What promise do you expect? What miracle do you expect? How long have you been waiting? Do you still have faith? You give life to the Faith (Part II)

For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. 1 John 5: 4

Faith, a word so small and at the same time so powerful. Faith is defined by the www.wordreference.com as “belief in something without the need to have been confirmed by experience or reason, or demonstrated by science.” Therefore, by having a spirit of faith, we believe, we talk, and we share our belief with others. When we go through tribulations, it is when we begin to activate the faith. Continue reading “You give life to the Faith (Part II)”

True love

The LORD has appeared of old to me, saying: “Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore with lovingkindness, I have drawn you”. Jeremiah 31:3.

I was reviewing my Facebook and I found a message that captivated my gaze, which I proceeded to read. A part of the message said: Continue reading “True love”

Footprints

Your way was in the sea and your paths in the mighty waters and your footprints may not be known. Psalms 77:19.

How long have you been screaming at God? And you say, “God listens to me!” You have been in serious situations and seek the Lord, and you raise your hands to heaven crying and moaning from so much pain and despair, and you feel in your life that there is no consolation. You overwhelm yourself thinking that there is no solution. Continue reading “Footprints”

Step by Step

Direct my steps by your word, and let no iniquity have dominion over me. Psalm 119:133.

Step by step, we all reach the goal. Sometimes the circumstances of life lead us to run and jump part of the processes of our lives because we think that the previous step is not important. Continue reading “Step by Step”

The hole

You who have made me see many anguish and afflictions, you will restore my life again; and you will bring me up again from the depths of the earth. Psalm 71:20.

Today, as I walked I watched as some employees dug a hole (concavity) to plant a tree. While watching how they made the hole, I observed how the driver of the machine dug the hole and the other person indicated the depth required by the hole to plant the tree. While continuing to observe the process, another driver brought the tree protecting the roots so that they would not be affected by the movement, although the tree had no leaves, because of the winter, I knew that soon the leaves would arrive with spring. When analyzing this process, I thought that our life is similar to a tree which depended on the depth of the hole to sustain itself with the climatic changes. Then, I was wondering, how deep will our hole be? Continue reading “The hole”

Between two boxes

If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord. Romans 14: 8.

A few days ago I was watching television, and there was an announcement that struck me and led me to analyze the message from a perspective in our daily life. The announcement was that the human being is born and placed in a box and when we die also our body is placed in a box. But, what is in between these two boxes? Wau! I was really struck by the message, although it was a commercial one.

Don’t worry about anything

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Philippians 4:6  (NLT).

We live in a world full of worries, we feel anxious, we feel stressed and we live day by day with fears. We live dominated by worries. Worry is an emotion that often leads us to be non-productive as fear invades us. A fear that arises in advance to invade our thoughts and our energy to something that often does not happen. Therefore, we live many times worried about things or imagine events without this really happening. Have you felt this way? Also, there are moments that we are going through difficult situations in our lives that we worry about. Well, today I want to share with you the antidote for worry.
