HONOR OUR PARENTS

Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise; that it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth. Ephesians 6: 2-3 (KJV).

Our parents are beings that God used to procreate us and be who we are today. Some of us are adopted by extraordinary people, some of us have lost a parent or been raised by single parents. They took care of us in the first stages of our lives, laughed, suffered and even woke up with us in the midst of our illness. In addition, our parents have been friends and advisors. LOVE

If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing. 1 Corinthians 13:3.

Love is a feeling of affection that leads to expressing emotions for one person towards another. All at one time we have loved. We have loved our father, mother, children, friends, boyfriends, girlfriends, and all those people who once we showed a deep and special love that has kept us together through time. Even after death, we maintain that feeling of love for the being that was once part of our lives. Love! How difficult is it to explain… Continue reading “LOVE”

TRANSITION

This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the LORD your God is with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9 New Living Translation (NLT).

All of us in a moment have experienced the processes of transitions in our lives. The transition is defined as an action and effect of moving from one state to another (https://es.thefreedictionary.com). LOVE exceeds all knowledge

And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. Ephesians 3:18 (NLT).

Today I want to share a passage of the Bible Ephesians 3:14-21 (New James Version), where Paul asks God to help us to understand the immense love of God, even thus our mind cannot understand the fullness of his love for humanity. Continue reading “LOVE exceeds all knowledge”

A true friend

Greater love has no one than this: than to lay down one’s life for his friends. John 15:13.

Many of us have had true friends, friends in good times and bad times as a saying goes. God never intended for us to be alone. It is for this reason that we have family, siblings, wife, husband, boyfriend, girlfriend, and especially friends. Although God wants us to come to Him in difficult times and in Him you will find a true friend. Continue reading “A true friend”

Generosity

As the Scriptures say: “They share freely and give generously to the poor. Their good deeds will be remembered forever” 2 Corinthians 9: 9 (New Living Translation, NLT).

Today, what generosity implies is misrepresented. Many times we have heard or talk about “give to receive”. But what does the word of God really say about this issue of generosity? Continue reading “Generosity”

The letter

You yourselves are our letter, written in our hearts, known and read by everyone; 2 Corinthians 3.

Once I expected a letter from my father, and this letter went astray. To my surprise it was returned to the sender. Although once delivered, my father returned resend the letter. Good thing I got that second chance to read the content of it. Continue reading “The letter”

The heart

A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh. Luke 6:45

Recently I was listening to a topic regarding a cup of spilled coffee. A section of the anecdote said that a person pushed the person and his coffee spilled. Now, the question would be: what would be the action of that person? Possibly insults or possibly apologies or do not worry everything is fine? We do not know, but if we are clear what you have cultivate in your heart, you would know what would come out of the mouth. Continue reading “The heart”

Our bodies

We grow weary in our present bodies, and we long to put on our heavenly bodies like new clothing. Corinthians 5:2

Our bodies are weak and mortal. Our body is like a fragile clay vessel. Our body gets tired, it gets tired and many times we want to put our celestial body as if it were new clothes. Continue reading “Our bodies”

Looking through the window

For at the window of my house I looked through my casement,… Proverbs 7:6

When I look out the window, I see how the days go by. The changes of the seasons of the year, is something that I can observe through the window since there are trees that their leaves change according to the seasons of the time. I watch as the wind keeps moving the branches of the trees, even if there are no leaves in them. The wonders of the inexplicable, the wind, where the wind blows, where it goes, who is caressing and if at some point makes a stop are curiosities that makes us think when we look through the window.
