Give thanks in everything

Give thanks in everything, because this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:18.

I have been in these days with an influenza that has weakened me, and I have asked God for healing on my broken body. But this situation has not prevented me from empowering me to take the message to an audience that expects a word of strength. Today, I want to thank God in everything. Thank you because in the midst of the breakdown, in the midst of a painful body, God has sustained me. Continue reading “Give thanks in everything”

Keylla Hernández

“Place me like a seal over your heart, like a seal on your arm; for love is as strong as death, its jealousy[a] unyielding as the grave. It burns like blazing fire, like a mighty flame”. Songs 8: 6.

Many of us suffer the death of journalist Keylla Hernández. Although not all of us met her personally, but we did know her as the WAPA anchor woman. Keylla Hernández was a woman who demonstrated to the whole world that faith moves mountains. Continue reading “Keylla Hernández”

Yea or Nay

But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil. Mathew 5:37

In these days of holidays or end of the year activities many promises arise that in the long run we cannot fulfill. This is a time to reflect this year 2018, analyze what we accomplish or fail to fulfill and why. We do not want to drag the insecurities and the lamentations of what we could not fulfill in 2018. But, if we can learn from those experiences so as not to make the same mistakes.

Family

Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen. 1 John 4:20

Soon will be the New Year, a year when many will be making promises, realizing new goals, and new projects in their lives. But, we must never forget that the family is an institution created by God. Continue reading “Family”

Trust

Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life. Psalm 143:8

Many times we face the unknown. We get up every morning without really knowing what awaits us in the day. Many times we plan our future, although it is really God who determines our present. Therefore, it is important that when you go to bed and when you get up, let’s give thanks to God for life and let Jesus direct our path. Continue reading “Trust”

Faith

He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” Mathew 17:20.

Faith, which we speak a lot about, is a mystery to science. Faith is defined in the Bible in Hebrews 11: 1

“It is, therefore, faith the certainty of what is expected, the conviction of those who do not see.” Continue reading “Faith”

The Space Mission

You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit-fruit that will last-and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you. John 15:16

When studying the career of an astronaut, we learn that the person requires a variety of training. They go through difficult and high-risk tests. The diet is different, the place to live is not a spacious house, it is a small space, the exercise routine is different, and even the clothes are different. We can read about the high risk that the life has when carrying out the space mission. Each astronaut has different skills according to the mission, so each one depends on the skills and strengths of their colleagues to carry out the mission. Once they have completed their training, they will be ready to go out to the space mission. Continue reading “The Space Mission”

In the cave (Part II)

And when Elijah heard it, he covered his face with his robe, and went out, and stood at the door of the cave. And behold, a voice came to him, saying, what are you doing here, Elijah? “1 Kings 19:13.

Continuing with the story of Elijah and Jezebel (read part I of the theme, In the cave), we see Elijah with fear to such a degree that he hide in a cave. Until Jehovah asks “What are you doing here, Elias?” Continue reading “In the cave (Part II)”

In the cave

“While Jezebel was killing off the LORD’s prophets, Obadiah had taken a hundred prophets and hidden them in two caves, fifty in each, and had supplied them with food and water” 1 Kings 18: 4.

In 1 Kings 18-19 we read the story of Elijah and the prophets of Baal. Elijah was a high-caliber prophet as they say around here. A prophet who fulfilled the command of God and he was so nice to the presence of God that one day he was taken directly by God. Continue reading “In the cave”
