Absolute trust

I trust God and praise his word; I trust God and I don’t feel fear. What can a mere mortal do to me? Psalm 56: 4.

Absolute trust, mmm … when I analyze the word absolute, my mind takes me to mathematics. Yes, mathematics which many times we say that there are established theories that already exist and at the same time much of us we do not understand the meaning or do not understand the logical explanation. Puerto Rico, for the love of ten

Then he said, “May the LORD not be angry, but let me speak just once more. What if only ten can be found there?” He answered, “For the sake of ten, I will not destroy it. Genesis 18:32.

Thanks to God’s love and mercy, today, July 25, 2019, Puerto Rico celebrates a victory. A victory suffered by many people over the course of several days. People who are parents, women, youth, children, and our relatives who suffered the loss of a loved one and even their belongings after Hurricane Maria. The mountain

For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Mark 11:23

When we contemplate a mountain we see its majesty. Immovable, always in the same place. When you see the mountain you can see how over time you can see greenery, drought, snow, fog, and how despite all its changes, it remains in the same place. In the distance, you can see how the mountain receives the sun in the morning and how the moon rises at night. Maybe, we ask ourselves what is there on that mountain, what is behind it, or if we can get there? Questions, which remind us that we have the power to move the mountain. The draw back

But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them, that believe to the saving of the soul. Hebrews 10:39

There are times in our lives that we remember our childhood, our joys, our sorrows and we even remember the past of where we were and where we are today. Maybe, today you have a job, you have a family, and everything is going very well for you. Or, perhaps remembering torments from the past and you cannot get out of those events that marked your life. Sometimes the mind betrays us and we think there is no solution. We are frightened of that past and we are afraid that others will find out or continue to hurt you. But, today I want to tell you that there is a solution. Continue reading “The draw back”

Religiosity or Jesus

That was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: John 1: 9-12.

A very difficult subject to digest by many people, religiosity or Jesus. Today we live in a versatile, different, and changing world. People seek something that fills them in all their aspects such as mental, emotional, and spiritual spheres. We live in a world full of so many religions that often confuse the individual for the versatility of religious laws that men impose here on earth. But, I wonder if those religions follow Jesus, His teachings, and why Jesus came into the world or they follow religious laws created by themselves? Continue reading “Religiosity or Jesus”

Old age

They shall still bear fruit in old age; they shall be fresh and flourishing. Psalm 92:14.

Aging will touch us all. The stage arrives or the moment that we all say “we are getting old”. We no longer have the same strengths, the same vigor or energy, which we feel in our body and our bones. When we see ourselves in a mirror or compare us with the photos, we see that our face is not the same. Our face begins to have lines of expression that we did not have before, the famous wrinkles, and when we laugh we get the “little crow’s feet” (wrinkles in the eyes) as they say in my country. But, the important thing is that as the years pass we acquire experiences, we see life from another perspective and with a new strength that we did not have before. Continue reading “Old age”

Physician of Physicians

When Jesus heard that, He said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. Matthew 9:12.

How many of us have gone to a doctor for X or Y health situation? I think almost everyone has gone to a doctor. But, the saddest part of the case is when the news of health is not favorable for you or a loved one. To our surprise, the news takes us by surprise, our mood changes, our thoughts run at a million per second or we are paralyzed by the news, we cannot believe it. Many of us cry or even stay in a state of “shock”. And, the only question that comes out is, and now what doctor? What will I do? I did not expect this news! Culture

{In this renewal} there is no distinction between Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian (one who was not Greek, neither by birth nor by culture), Scythian, slave or free, but Christ (the Messiah) It is everything and in all. Colossians 3:11

For many years there has been a diversity of cultures and traditions. The beauty of the diversity of cultures is that we learn to respect ourselves as we are and learn something different every day. The diversity of cultures is what distinguishes each individual, but without losing the essence of who we are. Continue reading “Culture”
