We grow weary in our present bodies, and we long to put on our heavenly bodies like new clothing. Corinthians 5:2
Our bodies are weak and mortal. Our body is like a fragile clay vessel. Our body gets tired, it gets tired and many times we want to put our celestial body as if it were new clothes.
As long as we live in this earthly world our body will groan and sigh, but it is not that we want to die and get rid of this body, but we want to put our new body so that this body that dies is consumed by life. God has prepared us for this, to be transformed with new clothes and a new spiritual environment. All this will lead us to better understand that we have a purpose and it is the awakening that God has given us a promise and as a guarantee the Holy Spirit has given us to guarantee us that soon our earthly bodies will be clothed from the mortal to eternity in Jesus Christ. So we will soon receive the eternal joy and blessings of heaven.
Prayer: Open your heart
Lord Jesus, forgive us because we have sinned against you. Today, I want to recognize that your precious blood is the only one that can redeem me from my sin. I want to confess to the world that I want you to be my God and my Savior. Today, I want to recognize that you have never abandoned us and that your power is revealed in our weakness. I do not pretend to have a perfect body, but I have learned that in a spiritual realm this body will be clothed with your Holy Spirit and that every pain and suffering will be temporary here on earth. Therefore, I prepare my heart to begin a new life in you. Amen.
A friendly advice
We have the hope of heaven, but in the meanwhile God calls us, God has given us the power to work with our lives here on earth. It is time for an awakening, when people see the inner strength that we have in Christ, they will be surprised. The difficulties can provide opportunities to witness that God has never abandoned us. God has been present and what our earthly body suffered was temporary and now a new opportunity awaits us that gives us the power to rejoice in difficult times that come in our lives. So each situation prepares our hearts to recognize the glory of God in our lives.
