Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be shaken but endures forever. Psalms 125: 1.
We are living in difficult times, but the Lord Jesus reminds us of the care and protection of his children. Let us not be afraid of the times to come, for these are times where we trust specifically in his promises. Sadly, we live as in the days of Noah. There is so much talk about God and people continue their course as if he does not exist.
I remember a song that said the roads are full, the beaches are full, and people continue to live as if God did not exist. What can we expect from the future to come? Perhaps rumors of peace, perhaps rumors of war, pestilence and hunger, but is it that we are already experiencing these events?
Chaos invades us, causes us fear, our lives are no longer free since there are others who make decisions for us. We can no longer meet, kiss or hug, everything is complicated. What can we do? There is a verse in the Bible that says “Give to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s” (Matthew 15:21). Well, as responsible beings we follow the earthly laws without forgetting that God continues to be God and only God is in control of our lives. What we need to do? To continue trusting in God who cared in the middle of the desert for his people, He sent a column of fire by night and a column of cloud by day. No matter what our current situation is, allow God to be your protector. Psalm 125 reminds us of its protection at all times, which says:
Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion,
which cannot be shaken but endures forever.
As the mountains surround Jerusalem,
so the Lord surrounds his people
both now and forevermore.
The scepter of the wicked will not remain
over the land allotted to the righteous,
for then the righteous might use
their hands to do evil.
Lord, do good to those who are good,
to those who are upright in heart.
But those who turn to crooked ways
the Lord will banish with the evildoers.
Peace be on Israel.
Prayer: Open your heart
Lord Jesus, I am in front of your presence asking you for forgiveness. I want you to be my protector at all times. That fear does not invade my being but that you always put peace in my heart. I ask this in your name Jesus, Amen.
Friendly advice
My dear friends, I know we are going through and living through difficult times. It is time to turn our gaze to the target, Jesus. There are no words that can describe how great God is, his love, mercy, and protection. Trust Him at all times. Pray, read the Bible, fast, but above all be sensitive to the voice of God. How are you today? Do not be afraid, trust our God, He cares for his children.
