Greater love has no one than this, which one lay down his life for his friends. John 15:13
My dear friends many times we think that time has passed and when we meet again it is as if we had never been apart. We’ve been through good and bad moments. The distance has not been an obstacle to maintain this relationship as unique. We know that life goes on and each of us will have our own destiny. But, no matter what that destiny is, God has allowed us to stay together. Today I want to share that friendship relationship of our God in John 15: 9-17
As the Father has loved me, so have I also loved you; stay in my love.
If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love; just as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and remain in his love.
These things I have spoken to you, so that my joy may be in you, and your joy may be complete.
This is my commandment: that you love one another, as I have loved you.
Greater love has no one than this, which one lay down his life for his friends.
You are my friends, if you do what I command you.
I will no longer call you servants, because the servant does not know what his master is doing; But I have called you friends, because all the things that I heard from my Father, I have made known to you.
You did not choose me, but I chose you, and I have appointed you to go and bear fruit, and your fruit remains; so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you.
This I command you: Love each other.
By reading this biblical passage I can understand that God has already chosen us to be his friends. If an earthly friend is valuable to us, imagine God’s love for us. I thank God for the privilege of being his daughter and allowing me to be a friend.
Prayer: Open your heart
Lord Jesus, I am in your presence to thank you for your friendship. Thank you for allowing me to have friends here on Earth. Bless them at all times and protect each of them and their plans. I ask it in your name Jesus, Amen.
Friendly advice
My dear friends, many times in the pursuit of life we forget those old friends. Take the time to make a call and say hello. How good is to remember those moments!
