COLD

Out of the south cometh the whirlwind: and cold out of the north. Job 37: 9

A season of the year has arrived, the cold. Many of us began to take clothes from our closet. Others begin to prepare for the holidays. So many things happen when there is cold. With the cold the flames are lit, the firewood is lit and there is heat in every home. A warmth that shelters us, which we feel like placing the sheets around us and a good cup of coffee or hot chocolate. Time we feel sheltered by the arms of loved ones or children. You feel the heat not only of the flames but of the loved one.

But, on the other hand, the cold … cold that many times our heart can feel. Cold … hands without a lack of touch and missing arms to shelter our body. But, it feels colder when there is an empty house when there is no one around you to give you a kiss or a smile. Cold … will follow the endearing thought of a past that freezes us in our time. Cold … that freezes the deepest waters just as loneliness is. Cold … feel that there is someone by our side like an iceberg and hope that spring comes to get out of that dark and cold cave. Cold … how long will it torment the lives of many? Or, how long have you allowed the cold to take over your life?

Time to face the cold, time to take the warmest coat, light the wood, and heat the water, heat your entire house, soul, mind, and body. Allow the heat to enter and let it manifest its splendor of a fire that although it does not have a single color we can see the blue, orange, yellow, and even the green, colors that exist in the rainbow, in nature, the sky, in the sea … colors that give rise to something wonderful happening. The cold is no longer cold because we have given the opportunity to enter the heat and give a new color to that cold environment to a full of wonderful things that will make us feel that we are special and with many desires to live before each adversity of life.

Prayer: Open your heart

Lord Jesus, today I open my heart to your presence. I ask that you be my beloved, my friend and that you be the flame of fire that ignites my life. May your tenderness and your love manifest and eliminate any cold that has frozen my time in this world. I ask this in your name Jesus. Amen.

Friendly advice

My dear friends, what can I tell you … there are times in our lives that the cold comes. Cold … which are situations such as divorce, immigration, abandonment of children as their lives continue, financial problems, illnesses, death of a loved one, and so many other things that come into our lives and the cold invades us. But, it is time to heat the water, time to ignite the flame of your life and wake up from that dream. For a period of time it took over your life, but it is time to wake up, it is time to continue with your life, it is time to do something different in your life as there is a say “shake your spirit”, it is time!

I recommend that you seek help from someone who can help you with your situation, remember that you are not alone. Also, when you have tried everything and have not worked, give God a chance.
