Christmas

” For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9: 6

Christmas is a time that has been commercialized. In our days the essence of what it really means Christmas has been lost. At Christmas, we remember the birth of Jesus and celebrate his life. So, it’s a time to celebrate that Jesus was born with a purpose on earth. His purpose was to free man from sin and give him entrance to the kingdom of heaven. And, that is why every Christian feels happy that Jesus was born to forgive and love us.

Times and traditions have changed with the passing of time. The times that pass are increasingly difficult and with an economy that is declining through the ages. We think that if we do not receive a gift it is not Christmas, if we do not have our loved one alive there is no Christmas. If we are at a distance from friends and families, we think it is not Christmas. There are many people who get depressed for whatever reason they have, but that is no excuse to celebrate Christmas.

Christmas is really Jesus in every heart. If today you feel lonely and sad, raise your spirits and let Jesus occupy your heart and that will be the best Christmas gift you will ever have!

Prayer: Open your heart

Lord Jesus, today I ask your forgiveness if I have failed you. Forgive me if for an instant of my life I stop being happy and enjoying every moment of my life. Christmas is coming, where it is a time of sharing and of recognizing that Jesus was born to save me and forgive my sins. Today, I want to receive the best gift of life, you my God, Jesus. Amen.

I recommend the following:
