One of the qualities of Jesus during his leadership on earth was the willingness to sacrifice himself in favor of a certain goal. Therefore, He was always willing to serve others. We see the example of Jesus in the Bible in John 13 when He took off his garments, took a towel, and girded himself. Then, He proceeded to wash the feet of his disciples.
