Then Jesus said to the centurion: Go, and as you believed, let it be done to you. And his servant was healed in that hour. Matthew 8:13
I’m reading Joyce Meyer’s book The Battlefield of the Mind. This book had been given to me by a prophet of God, Amaris Morales (may he rest in peace) in 2005 and I always started to read it, but things came up and I put it aside, which has long passed and now the time has come. And, I want to share a portion of this extraordinary book.
I want to tell you, that the mind is powerful and the devil himself knows it. So, the devil is a liar or a liar, Jesus called him … a liar and the father of lies (John 8:44). It lies to you and me. It tells us things about ourselves, others, and circumstances that simply are not true. However, it doesn’t tell us the whole lie at once. It begins by bombarding our minds with an artfully imagined pattern of escaping irritating thoughts. He knows our insecurities, our weaknesses, and our fears. You know what bothers us the most. He is willing to invest all the time it takes to defeat us. One of its strong points is patience.
One of the things is that positive minds produce positive lives. Positive thoughts are always of faith and hope. Negative thoughts are always full of fear and doubt. Today, friend, I ask you what thoughts you have positive or negative? A question to ponder. Today we are going to bring down those pessimistic thoughts.
To break down these thoughts, you have to start scrutinizing the word of God and trusting that God restores, then you realize that negative or pessimistic thoughts have to disappear. In Matthew 8:13 Jesus affirms that it will be done to us as we have believed. The Valera version says … as you have believed, it is done to you … That does not mean that you and I can achieve anything we want just by thinking about it. God has a perfect plan for each of us, and we cannot control it with our thoughts and words. But, we have to think and speak according to His will and plan for us. If you don’t have an-idea of what God’s will is for you at this point, at least start by thinking, “Well, I don’t know God’s plan, but I know that He loves me. Whatever He does will be good and I will be blessed.”
Start thinking positively about your life. Practice being optimistic in every situation that arises. Still, when what is happening in your life right now is not good, expect God to bring something good out of it, just as He has promised in His word. So all works for good. Romans 8:28 says: “And we know that for those who love God, all things work together for good, that is, for those who are called according to His purpose.” This scripture does not say that all things are good, but that all things work together for good.
An example of this: You plan to go shopping. You get in the car and it won’t start. There are two ways of looking at this situation. You can say I knew it! It does not fail. Every time I want to do something, it goes wrong. I already imagined that this shopping trip would spoil my plans are always frustrated. ” Or, you can say, “Well, I wanted to go shopping, but I can’t seem to go right now. I will go later, when the car is fixed. Meanwhile. I think this change of plans will be in my benefit. There’s probably some reason why I needed to stay home today, so I’m going to enjoy myself. ” So, there are two options to get uncomfortable which causes emotions to ignite and we choose a negative attitude. Or, adjust to the situation, put something in your closet and move on to enjoy the activity that awaits you. Which do you choose?

Prayer: Open your heart
Lord Jesus, I am in front of your presence asking for forgiveness. Today, I ask you to be your changing my way of thinking and to see everything within your will and not mine. I ask this in your name, Jesus. Amen.
Friendly advice
If you are a pessimistic person do not feel guilty. How good that you begin to realize those negative thoughts and begin to trust that God restores you. Consequently, the path to liberation begins when we face the problem without making excuses for it. Therefore, as a new creature you don’t have to allow the old things that happened to you to continue to affect your new life in Christ. You are a new creature with a new life in Christ. You can renew your mind according to the word of God. New things will happen to you from now on. Rejoice, today is a new day! I want to remember that God is in control. Don’t let negative thoughts harm your plans, always be positive. See the positive in the midst of adversity.
