How to Pray

6 But you, when you pray, go into your room, and close the door and pray to your Father who is unseen; and your Father who sees what is done secret, will reward you in public. Matthew 6: 6 (Reina Valera, 1960).

The vast majority of people have their particular way of praying or talking to God. There are moments that we do not have words or we are so tired that we forget to thank God for everything. Also, there are people who never taught them to pray. But, how good is our God who thought of everything. He knew that there would come a time in our lives that we would say, Lord teach me to pray and that is why he left us in writing a beautiful prayer that covers everything.

Friend, as you learn this prayer you will see in your life a supernatural blessing “because your Father knows what things you need, before you ask him” (Matthew 6: 8).  The prayer that God left was the following, in Matthew 6: 9-15:

Our Father who is in heaven, hallowed be your name.
Your kingdom come Thy will be done, as it is in heaven, so also on earth.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil; for yours is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

Dear friend, the Lord Jesus also tells us that we must forgive those who offend us and if we do so He will also forgive us. God does not want you to carry pain, he will be your lawyer and defender. Leave everything in His hands. Jesus reminds us: “Do not fear, because I am with you; Do not be discouraged, because I am your God. I will strengthen you, I will certainly help you, yes, I will sustain you with the right hand of my righteousness, “Isaiah 41: 10-12. Do you believe it? Well, get up in victory!

 A friendly advice

  1. Dear friend, attend a Church (suggestion: those who believe in the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and of course that Christ is coming soon for his people).
  2. To pray is to speak. Talk to God as if he were your best friend. He will listen to you and best of all He keeps your secrets and Jesus will always answer you.
  3. When you pray, the bible says to go into your room, close the door, and pray to your father (God), who sees and hear what is done in secret, He will reward you.
  4. You can ask other person to pray for your needs. A chain of prayers will help you and support you but, remember you need to pray also in order to have an effective prayer and results.
