Crossing the Besor

But David pursued, he and four hundred men: for two hundred abode behind, which were so faint that they could not go over the brook Besor. 1 Samuel 30:10

Many times we face difficult situations in our lives as it was the case with David. One day David arrives at his camp and meets the sad news that all his family and all his belongings were snatched by the enemy. The sadness of his people was so great that they wanted to stone David. In his sadness, David decides to consult with God to ask for direction. And David enquired at the LORD, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? Shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all  1 Samuel 30: 8. With that word of faith, David proceeds to rescue his people.

Once, on the way many got tired and the others decided to cross the Besor. The Besor was a river that was separating David from his family. David was not discouraged, he managed to fight against the enemy and won the battle. David rescued his family, got back what had been taken away from him and earned more than expected.

Beginning the year we will face new challenges. So, do not let the circumstances of life stop you, you decide what course to give to the situation. Cry and drown in the sadness of your pain or say I rise in victory because behind the Besor is my blessing, your blessing will not be simple is doubled or even tripled because when you rise as a warrior of God and walk with the armor of God you will obtain the victory. Do not let the enemy laugh at your circumstances do like David, always consult with God because he will give you the answers to follow and the victory you will obtain.

Prayer: Open your heart

Lord Jesus I am before your presence asking for your forgiveness. Today, I want to start consulting my plans with you. Help me to listen to your voice and do your will. I know that if you give me the word of faith as you did with David I know that I will achieve victory. Give me the necessary tools and wisdom from on high this year that begins and that your blessing is on my life and my home. Amen.

I recommend you to buy the book Zoe The abundant life by Manny Cabezudo, an inspirational book that will help you to continue believing God. *I’m not sure if the book is in English.
